lol. Such short sighted thinking. You are just assuming because he looked good in a playoff game that he would out play Merk who knows Heupels system and has the respect of the team. By all means, show me the proof that he is an upgrade over Merk in Heupels system. Show me the proof he would come in here and light it up.Who cares? That would be worth the trade even if it did make him leave at some point. We’re talking about a proven young player who looked great in a playoff game vs. a redshirt freshman who has done nothing at all.
I'd say pretty darn well. He's won 10+ games 3 of the last 4 years while only averaging the #25 recruiting class. You are using the Lame Kitten way of college football. Oh just get a portal QB that’s all that matters. How is that working out for him?
Yup he played in a slow, clunky offense. Then go pay one not as limited passing the ball as Haynes King
Are they going to give our players a trophy and rings in February due to us doing the right thing and not messing with someone else’s QB?? Being liked by others because Nico is a douche is nice. No one is to give us anything in October for it.Would Tennessee really tamper with other team's QBs after the Nico debacle? They would lose a lot of goodwill by going out and poaching some other team's QB and paying them more. Is that the message to send to the team?
I think we have to let Merklinger and Macintyre battle it out. Fans have already lowered expectations. Might as well see what we have in these young guys. I think we should be looking to add an experienced QB from a lower level.

Yeah, I am guessing he still pays California income tax and if not transferring to Californian he would probably pay income tax in both states. I believe after 2 years he could have dropped the cali residency and had no income tax this next year if he had stayed. That in of itself would have been 200-300k pay increase. Heck it possibly might have been the same assuming he could drop cali. That is one big benefit in Tennessee not having a state income tax.I bet Nico takes a pay cut where ever he goes
