Is the court gonna have "The Summit" logo on it for men's and women's games. The women's basketball team can do whatever they want to do to the court, but for men't games they need to take that crap off of it. I am tired of hearing about "The Head" being the winningest coach in College Basketball. Comparing men's and women's B-Ball is like comparing apples and oranges.

Then go find another team. Take your male ego from the 30's and find a team that relegates women to a secondary position.

The Summitt Logo is a permanent part of the floor and will remain so no matter who is playing.

After 800 wins, I'd say they can put her name on just about anything and not have to apologize for it.

I have a team it is the University of Tennessee Men's basketball team. I do not take anything away from the Lady Vols I just get tired of people comparing the two. People carry on about how the women could beat the men and all this nonsense and it is ridiculous. Anyone that thinks that is absolutely out of their mind. I just don't like women's B-Ball cause it is alot slower the men's game and I don't feel like watching a game on a court named after "The Head". They have Ray Mears and all they do is name a damn room after him.

There are 2 money making sports at UT. One is Football and the other is womens basketball.

Next time you are in TBA, look at all the banners hanging. Those didnt come from the men. Until they do something, I wouldnt name a port-a-potty after them.

Ray Mears never won a National Title, much less 6. I know that older fans of UT BB think of Mears as the sacred cow around here, but I don't get it. I have respect for him for how innovative he was for UT BB promotion, and even for the Earnie and Bernie show. But did we get any titles out of it? How about Final Fours? I'm not defending Pat by any means, but I have seen her bring in more banners than any other BB coach at UT.

The women's basketball program barely breaks even. That is not me saying that, that is reported by the University of Tennessee because they had a long segment on sports talk about that a year or so ago. I am not "bagging" on Pat Summit I just said that they shouldn't be comparing her accomplishments to the likes of Dean Smith and John Wooden. It is like comparing apples and oranges.

The MENS program breaks even. The women's brings in money to support themselves, and some of the other women's programs.

No the women's program break even. It was reported by the AD a few years ago. I am pretty sure they weren't making that up.

Men are gonna have to do an awful lot to change the SUMMITT. Its there as long as the arena is.

Now if the men want to win 10 of the next 12 National Championships, I will personally lead a fight to have another arena built just for the men.

We can name it PEARL COURT...

....Which will be housed inside of SUMMITT ARENA!

I'm still calling you out for bad info and lack of knowledge!

You cite a report that is several years old and try to say it proves your point when it doesn't.

I have a solution. We can let the Lady Vols have the Tommy Bowl(which I despise due to the atmosphere, Nazi ushers, etc.) and the men can go back to Stokely

The reason most of us love Ray Mears is because he brought UT Basketball out of the wilderness and put it on the map. too bad the ones that followed let UT drop off the map.

It isn't the players and teams fault that they had a coach who was winning 20 games a year and goin to the tourney in Jerry Green, but then all of a sudden that didn't meet UT standards so we force him to resign and hire Buzz Peterson who couldn't coach a retard in a wheel chair going down hill.
