Question about the offensive scheme

I guess you all are right, but I mean, I don't know......I guess we expect every new QB to come in and be like Bray in his first game against Memphis throwing for 400 yds and 5 touchdowns lol.

Bray's first games were against weak opponents, with two senior receivers (Denarius Moore and Gerald Jones) and a senior tight end (Luke Stocker) as targets.

Manning was in a similar situation his freshman year. He became the starter after injuries to the first stringer (Colquitt) and the second stringer (Helton), and he hadn't decisively beat out Branndon Stewart for third string. Manning had some spectacular throws his freshman year, but he had some rough games. Little Man Stewart and Aaron Hayden carried much of the offensive workload.

Manning didn't do that well against the two Top-25 opponents he faced as a freshman starter (7/14 79 yards vs. #17 Washington St., 10/18 138 yards 2 INTs vs. #10 Alabama).

that is all true, but Tee lead us to the promised land :)
