I can’t think of a single time this season that there’s been a run play outside the tackles with the exception of QB keeping on a zone read.

With the wide splits there’s a lot of potential running room out there for Sampson and Bishop to get into that space every once in a while, so why is every play up the middle or between the tackles?

Why spread everyone out to run laterally and toward more people?

There’s five to six defenders between the tackle box. And more if they walk a safety up.

I’m also not talking about running laterally. I’m talking about an off tackle run play. If our opposition has the DL it’s easy to defend this rushing attack. Because everything is run into the same space on the field.

Our running game isn’t the problem, our passing game is

If you're outnumbered, throw the ball. The only outside runs in this offense are Power, Counter, Dart.

Offense has become terribly predictable against the talent in the conference, it's fun to spool up all kinds of yards in games that do not matter, but when the bright lights are on and the conference schedule is rolling, we futz and fiddle around like a bottom feeder in the conference, Heupel's lack of confidence in Nico last year is comparable to the lack of confidence this year

I thought we were just going vanilla for 4 or 5 weeks. But watching almost this whole game tonight tells me we have problems.

We're letting the defense dictate to us instead of dictating to them
