Question bout present roster

there is/was not enough difference for it to matter one way or the other.. not nickel's worth of difference in roster for any of the 3 coaches. jmo

This ^^^^ your absolutely right! The cupboard was almost bare for all 3 coaches, but I can see light at the end of the tunnel now. Tennessee football will be back by 2016-17 and the pride will return....it's been so very long.

Butch has the best O-Line in the country, that enough says it.

I don't know where you get this idea, I can remember much much better O Lines in the past...this group has yet to prove they can indeed run block, especially on 3rd and short.....hoping this will change this year

Butch. And it's not close. Kiffin started walkons on the Oline and starting MLB.

Jones... but it is fairly close with Kiffin.

Two or 3 of the other OL's were drafted the next year. Stocker was TE. FB was solid. Big Dan was outstanding at DT. Secondary was better than any since.

None of them came into the kitchen with a particularly good-looking cupboard, but of the 3, I'd say Butch has the best setup. The truth of the matter is, having this good of an O-line gives you a decent amount of wiggle room on offense. And our defense, though dreadful last season, is at least experienced.

A G in the 4th and a T in the 5th. It will be a much different story after Butch's 1st year I'm betting. Williams was good, but I believe our DTs are going to be pretty good themselves this year. Like someone said previously, some of those players we refer to as good on Kiffin's team hadn't done much before that year. So we'll have to wait and see after this season to truly compare I suppose.

No one would've called Crompton anything but awful until Kiffin coached him up. Receivers were ok. Hardesty was good. I dislike Kiffin as much as anyone, but what he and his daddy did that year with what they had was impressive

Plus we really did leave 2 "W's" on the field in UCLA and Alabama. 2008 could have EASILY been a 9 win season!
