Do we finish better than where we're now in the rankings, about where we are now, or do we finish worse and why?

I predict we will finish, play hard in every game, and have better stats......the W and Ls are a hard call this soon, lets see what happens in the Spring, injuries and what recruits blossom. Team 120 is not Team 119, they have to start from scratch.

I (and several others) said 12 - 15 finish last summer. I still believe that is about where we'll finish. If we have some out of nowhere surprises it could be higher. The reason IMO is the same as it has been all along. With the lower numbers we're taking this year, the staff is looking for very specific type players to fill needs. They are not necessarily looking at star ratings, but what they think they can do with the player.

As was mentioned by TS in another thread though. With the return of three of our star players )JRM, AK and CS)......it will definitely be like having a top 10 class.

What players do you think commit who will elevate our rankings?

Nigel Warrior - S
Derrick Brown - DT
Landon Dickerson - OG
Jordan Woods - DE
Marquez Calloway - WR
Velus Jones - WR

Are probably the best players left that we have a realistic chance at landing

I think we get Warrior, Dickerson and probably Brown. We'll add a few others as well.

Mecole will not be coming here....unless he is truly going to shock the world.

It seems a lot more difficult to get a read on the players this year as to where they are going.

I think we still have a great shot with Brown. Don't his Mom and Dad both really like TN? I'm sure he will probably get final say in the decision, but parents can be a hard obstacle to overcome sometimes.

Very true, he or Dickerson are really 50/50 right now.

Getting Cam and Reeves-Maybin back next year makes this recruiting class look much better. 5*'s with experience !

I am sorry but I have been following this for several years & after a while you learn to read between the lines. I am not saying that on signing day they commit but if signing day were today both Warrior & Brown are Vols. Things can change with 18 year old kids and slick talking coaches but I feel confident this is the case.

Nothing to be sorry for. I've been following recruiting for a long time too and I feel the same way.
