If you would have had the choice, who would you have picked to start against the Irish? I would have started Clausen.
I think that after tonight's game, Clausen should start the remainder of the season.
Don't be surprised if Ainge doesn't start next season. I think he'll have his hands full with the competition. Just a thought-you heard it first here.

I think that's a terrible thought. Aside from a poorly-coached LSU team in the second half, Clausen has failed to move the ball at all this year. With Ainge, at least we have the ability to get the ball downfield. Do you think it's a coincidence that Foster had a big game on the ground?

As I've said before, throwing zero interceptions gets you a total of ZERO points. Only TD's count, and Ainge is our better shot at getting those.

Not starting/continuing another QB controversy, but if Ainge had been named starter in preseason and we'd stuck with him, I think we are 6-2 or better right now. He's obviously got a mental problem, and the shuffle of the first half of the year did nothing but make it worse.

My hope: Clausen never leaves the sideline, Ainge improves in the last 3 games, and we settle on a QB PRIOR to next season (either way - JC or EA).

I say enough of who's going to start and who started. It doesn't matter. The fact of the matter is, neither are good enough right now. So it doesn't really matter.

This team makes way too many mistakes to allow any QB to win anyway.

 Not sure where too start...New to this post and have seen alot of UT Sports. I however don't feel the same as you on the QB situation :dunno: IMO we had the right guy under center for this ballgame. If you take into consideration that Erik has had about 8-9 quarters of football this year, I think he did a pretty good job. Rick was very helpful it seemed on the sideline giving instructions to Erik and if memory serves me correctly we audibled at the line no more than 5-6 times  If I were calling the shots EA would be taking the snaps and RC would be relaying the plays. Just as opinion.

Ainge had a pretty good game. We moved the ball most of the day fairly consistantly. Why in the world would Clausen even play the rest of the year? He's gona be gone anyway.

I say we should have had Brent....oh wait, never mind.

Once again, I say, I wish we had Brent.

I agree, but it's Brent's fault that we don't have Brent.

Personally, I think it's time that Tennessee starts looking for some mobile QB's. We need one that is a good passer, good runner and goes to class and meetings.

Like I said before, OWB. You are my hero. Is Vince Young available??

I don't know but if we had Young tonight, you could bet your bottom dollar that we would have beat ND. Even with the special teams play.

Well, your first choice just got booed out of his own stadium, so maybe he'll be available???

Yes, let's support another fight loving, dirt ignorant scumbag who was not recruited by any other schools on his own home state. :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

Not saying I condone that sort of thing. But if someone would have shoved a boot up his butt and slapped him around. Maybe he would have turned his attitude around.

Yes. There is not enough butt kicking going on. It shows on the field every time a receiver doesn't lay out for a pass.

Exactly. Grab the facemask when a player screws up, and give him a verbal bashing he will never forget.
