Questions about streaming for this weekend's games

Doesn’t surprise me one bit that YouTube TV dropped MLB Network after they bought the rights to NFL Sunday Ticket. They are going to try to pay as little as possible for it. And don’t be surprised whenever those rates go up to circumvent the cost of them purchasing Sunday Ticket.

This seems to confirm. I think.

The MLB-hosted event will be held the weekend of February 17th-19th, including three exclusive telecasts LIVE on MLB Network and streamed on MLB.com. MLB Network has been the exclusive home of this tournament since its inception in 2018.

Here's the full schedule. I noticed there's another game at the same time as ours on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. At least we should know how it all works by the time our 6 pm game rolls around on Friday night.

Date Time Teams Location
Feb. 17 11 a.m. Michigan St. vs. Fresno St. Sloan Park
Feb. 17 1 p.m.* Grand Canyon vs. San Diego SRF at Talking Stick
Feb. 17 6 p.m.* Arizona vs. Tennessee SRF at Talking Stick
Feb. 18 1 p.m. Fresno St. vs. Arizona Sloan Park
Feb. 18 6 p.m.* Tennessee vs. Grand Canyon Grand Canyon University
Feb. 18 6 p.m. San Diego vs. Michigan St. Sloan Park
Feb. 19 1 p.m. Fresno St. vs. Grand Canyon Sloan Park
Feb. 19 1 p.m. San Diego vs. Tennessee SRF at Talking Stick
Feb. 19 6 p.m. Michigan St. vs. Arizona SRF at Talking Stick

I think Freak would be an outstanding guest. I have really enjoyed the Stache Talks which were not the players. Everyone has a story to tell, and if the story involves baseball or the Vols or both it is going to entertaining! A glimpse behind the VolNation curtain would be a great listen!

No pressure though Freak, I am sure this is not for everyone. We respect you either way!

I don't think so. I think guys would like to know how this came about and your history with VolNation. It is a huge part of Vol sports. Right guys?
I’d be all for it! I’ve listened to every podcast (some multiple times) and I’m sure Freak would be most interesting. I’d love the backstory on Volnation!

Does the MLB TV monthly subscription include the MLB Network? I thought that it did but from what I've read online it might only be available through your cable provider.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to watch the games this weekend since YouTube TV lost the MLB Network. I'd like to sign up for a month of MLB TV, if that works. The other options would be signing up for a month of Sling or Fubo TV.

There must be others facing the same situation. Any thoughts?

I just signed up today for a free 7 day trial on FUBO.tv. During the signup I picked the Premier package that includes MLB Network.

It’s always like this at the beginning of the season. Wait until games are only streaming on SEC Network Plus- then the confusion really hits.

Knoxville Comcast/XFINITY sometimes makes SEC+ a challenge. It shows up while upcoming, but sometimes disappears when it comes on, or tells me it is not available with my subscription at the top of the menu. Usually if I drill down through ON DEMAND SPORTS and go down the page to the networks menu and select SEC Network I can get the content even if told no at the top...... most of the time. Used to get ESPN+ too but that changed a few year back.
