Thinking Q might be odd man out if we need a scholarship.
I don't fault McRae for that pass as much as others. He sees Skylar hit those all day in practice for 3 years. Skylar needed to make it. If he does, the crowd is jacked and maybe he and others get some confidence and shots start falling. It didn't work out, but i don't see that as bad of a play as others do. He didn't have a lane to the basket, iirc.
There was not one 3 that Skylar took Sat. where he wasn't wide open. All were very good looks.

Didn't have a lane to the basket?
Ever seen him play AAU?
PG under the bucket was never an issue.
Why is D1 different one on one?
No big deal. Just like to see him get to the glass more.I don't care about aau where someone will move out of the way and no d is played or fundamentals taught.
I didn't recall the pg being under the bucket. I recall him being more close to the ft line and McRae between the key and the ft line.
I think you are making a big deal. Either play was fine. Skylar has to hit the shot. McRae could have made a finishing move, or he could have turned it over. Don't believe CM had an issue with it either.
But D1 is plenty different than aau in one on one situations. Defense is played.
