I feel embarrassed that you are so jealous of guys like Reggie Bush that issues like this get you worked up. It's called the real world. Talent has its privileges.

Breaking rules has its consequences.

This story is the biggest waste of time in recent memory. Who cares? Bush was already at USC. The Trojans received no advantage. There's no indication that Reggie had knowledge of any arrangement his mother and stepfather may have had with the owner of the house. Another example of "investigative journalism" run amok. Anyone who cares about this story needs to invest time in getting a life.

Hat, the number predicted draft pick and this is no story. Why, if the story is true, and I know the papers lie probaby more than tell the truth, would they leave the house.Thats all I would like to know. Why?If the house aint legit, you must split. :biggrin2:

Again, the NCAA will do nothing about this. They'll tell USC to pay more attention and that will end this matter. Reggie will make his millions and Pete Carroll will keep bringing in stud recruits.

What's the NCAA going to do to Reggie Bush? Nothing, they can't do anything. What's the NCAA going to do to SC? Tell them to pay closer attention, that's it. This story shows how bored football writers are at this time of year.

You are right, the NCAA will probably do nothing. However, the Downtown Athletic Club might just give his Heisman to Vince.

Reggie Bush will be able to have artists create all the statues he wants with his signing bonus. Furthermore, Vince Young is a complete loser if he would accept the Heisman under those circumstances. I can hear the acceptance speech now , "I couldn't win the award on the field, but thanks to antiquated and laughable rules I'm a Heisman winner."

I could see a different acceptance speech, "It is about time they handed the hardware out after the bowl games, because there was no question who the best player was on the field in the NC game."

So, you'd like to see UT give back the '51 National Championship?

You're right... USC had no knowledge of this, as is apparent. Seemed to be at worst a deal between Bush and an NFL talent agent.

However I was listening to ESPN radio last night, and Jason Smith brought up an interesting point in that the NCAA has somewhat of a history of making examples of people. They obviously can't do anything to Bush, as he is long-gone for the draft, which basically leaves USC with the short end of the stick as the only people that can be punished. I doubt it will happen but it's an interesting though.

Wahlabama and Kentucky supposedly had no knowledge about what was going on in Memphis, what'd the NCAA do to those programs? Granted, that was recruiting a player, but as I stated earlier, this could very easily affect recruiting.

Either way, I do believe that this is not a USC recruiting scandall, it's a matter of Reggie Bush flirting with the NFL too early on his own. I doubt it could really affect USC's recruiting. The NCAA would like to take action, but as I said, USC nor anybody affiliated with the program (aside from Bush himself) did anything wrong and the NCAA should be smart enough to know that throwing USC under the bus wouldn't be right.

Hat, you know darn well that Vince would never use the word 'antiquated.'

I wondered when someone would call me on that.
