It will be Barnes or Bob Sundvold. Snyder and Orr have never been candidates.
I guess John Brice just made it up then? :dunno:

I could send in a resume. Doesn't mean I'm a candidate. Also, the guy writes for the Maryville paper. If he had decent sources or real insight, he'd be working for a real newspaper.

Kinda like if hatvol had decent sources or real insight, he wouldn't be posting on a message board.

Educating guys like you is my charity work.

Give the guy a break, they have had better coverage on football than the Snooze Sentinel. We'll see I guess.

Is Barnes a good recruiter? I've heard conflicting reports. Most fellow Vol fans seem to think he is, but OM fans say that he isn't and thats why they suck now. I've also heard he doesn't have good ties to Memphis as far as recruiting.

Yeah, I hear ya....George Mason has no reason to be in the NCAAT.
I'll put my basketball knowledge and contacts against anyone on this board.

I think it will be much easier for him to recruit people to Pearl's style than to Ole Miss. He hasn't had as much success in Memphis as the coach at Ole Miss should. That said, I hope Coach Pearl hires Sundvold.

Snyder? Dropping to assistant already? Somehow I doubt that
Snyder will follow the Steve Lavin path. TV for a year or two, then hook on with a desperate program.

who are you "contacts"?
I don't want to get into this again. Certain members of the board will accuse me of name dropping.

Since you're new, I'll attempt to answer your question without offending anyone's sensibilities. Hypothetically, if needed, I could reach the coaches at the following schools in fairly short order: Memphis, Kansas State, Southern Cal, and Ole Miss. In a pinch, you could probably add Kansas, Texas A&M, UTEP and Cincinnati to that list.

I suppose thats okay.
Did you see where your guy Schuberth got the job at Pan American? He'd better be one hell of a coach if he expects to win anything there. However, it was a pretty good springboard job for Lon Kruger.

Yeah, I was hoping we could land him, but I suppose things will work out for the best.
Sundvold or Barnes will do fine at UT. With Pearl and Tony Jones, they don't have to be great recruiters.

I would like to see Rod Barnes or Quin Synder. I think it would be a great feather in our cap if we could land a former head coach from a big school.
