yes - a great line. right down the middle of the republican platform, which is all about the greater good - you know, universal health care, public education, welfare, etc.

btw, Tom Ridge just called McCain "John Bush."

What most libs fail to realize is that what he said was for everyone.. It's not just great to serve a cause greater than yourself to a certain section of the population, it was meant for everyone. In other words help me help you, help you.

besides, "greater good" is different than "collective good"

That speech had tons of wonderful lines, delivered eloquently and passionately, but I think this was the best.
