Wow...

Used to watch this show like crazy when I was a kid and stayed with my grandparents on the weekends.

Celebrity deaths rarely effect me any, but strangely this one really bums me out.

My father had a comedy album he did on vinyl where he did his bit on going to a football game.

I just found it on CD. I may have to buy that for old time's sake.

Sad day indeed. I grew up watching Matlock with my dad before I'd head off to school in the mornings. Just watched an episode this morning as a matter of fact. He will be missed.

Amazon.com: Wit & Wisdom of Andy Griffith: Andy Griffith: Music

It has a bit on Romeo and Juliet that is really funny, too

Sad day, a good man gone. When I was at UT there was a class on American humor that featured the Andy Griffith show. Classic.

Loved his bits on Shakespeare.

Big part of my life. Every day after school I was in front of the tv watching it. Black and white episodes were my favorite. No Time For Sergeants was good too.

RIP.

I'm definately saddened by this news. Like alot of people my age where the show was before their time, I was turned on to it by my dad. Best show of all time IMO.

Loved Andy on Matlock. Here's a small role he had in recent years. The ending is pretty fitting too.
