The Raiders were already without a 4th round pick (no 4th in 2012), so I guess they felt he wouldn't last to the 5th round. May be worth the gamble.

At least Russell had the tools (except a 2 cent head) to be a good NFL QB, but you are right about his ability to pick QBs.

Indeed. Al Davis has won 3 superbowls. Not many NFL owners can say that.

Russell has a 2 cent head and 39 million guaranteed. He hit the lottery. And Marinovich, (or 'Marijuanavich' as Raider fans called him) had a weakness for drugs.

As for the rest of these QBs, 4 were taken in rounds that don't even exist anymore.
