Rainey says FL better than both AL and LSU

Does anyone have the full interview, or something that puts the quote into context?

Right now the quote on its own is nothing.

"I thought we was better than them" ???

I thought we were better than both of those teams also, til they curb stomped us. And now I dont.

So, without some sort of context to the quote, it is just some lame ass blogger trying to make someone look bad. (and the use of the english language in the quote doesnt help cRainey either)

It was pretty obvious they weren't even close to better than either team before the games were played and it's that much more obvious now.

The problem is he "felt" instead he should have said, "we showed".

I am quite biases as far as LSU, so I will look at his statement like this. "I felt we were better than Alabama.”

I watched the game, Alabama had a team, Florida had a few individuals.

Alabama Team > (Florida Individuals + Home Field)

Heck, what he doesn't understand is he was playing against 4th string guys in the LSU game by the end of the 3rd quarter.

Im not going to argue with most of your post, but late LATE LATE in the 4th quarter, you still had starters in on offense. LATE. And, just incase you didnt get the point, it was LATE in the 4th quarter. Couple minutes to go. INCLUDING YOUR QUARTERBACK.

If your 3rd stringer is throwing the ball all over the field, that is one thing, cause he needs to learn the offense too. But LATE into the 4th quarter. . . Starting QB.

NOW: before you give me too much crap, We got our asses kicked. So nothing else matters.

Edit: and yeah, I agree with pretty much the rest of what you said. But Im not as worried about this year as much as I am next year. If next year goes like this year, then I am ticked off.

I FEEL. . . . that injuries made a big difference in the Bama game. We probably would not have won, but it wouldnt have looked to ugly.

You know a little something about injuries changing a game, right?

Bama was the better team, but at the BEGINNING of the game they were not THAT MUCH better of a team.

And again, I dont see any sort of storyline that shows the context of the quote. What was the conversation? When did he say it? Were they talking about how he felt 2 weeks ago, or yesterday?

Blogging like that is the exact reason that the media as a whole is not trustworthy anymore. Irresponsible. No accountability. Give me the story that the quote came from. Give me the interview.

It is possible that cRainey said something very stupid. It is also possible that he was just talking about how he felt earlier in the season, or before each game. But we dont know because some blogger is just trying to stir up trouble.

They left off the end of his quote that Florida is better than LSU and Alabama at telling women that it is "time to die".

glad to see how many of you already have me on "ignore", but does ANYONE have anything more than just that one line quote? Cause I dont see it, and I cant find it anywhere else. The link on the OP just has a one line quote from what I see here at work. And if that is all we have, then it is most certainly out of context and just trying to take Rainey down in flames.

Not trying to defend him, just want to know the context of the quote.

Kind of hard to believe he meant it the way it is portrayed here, out of context.

If he is saying he believed prior to the games that Florida was better, well, maybe we can chalk it up to youthful exuberance overwhelming common sense.

If he is saying after the games that he believes that to be the case, then we might need to have him tested for concussion.
