I loved that there were 3 smith's in the starting lineup

For all the good things he did, Bruce had a lot of shady characters in his program at that time. If I remember correctly, there was speculation about whether or not Bruce would be able to keep Ramar on the up and up when he signed because of some behavioral issues he had in high school. Could be misremembering. I do know that neither Michigan nor Michigan State offered him which should have raised some red flags.

Bruce recruited the rankings. There was "almost" always a red flag with the player.
character/attitude/work ethic/their entourage/health/or something lacking basketball skill wise that made the recruit less desirable to the bigger programs. Chism was from TN but he also had asthma.

(In all fairness to the opening post there was a guard we played recently that reminded me of Ramar Smith. It might have been one of South Carolina's guards.)
