Rams to trade number 2 pick

Appears that they have at least three suitors (CLEVEland, skins, and dolphins) as well which means they should get something very shiny for their #2 pick.

Unless a sure fire prospect came around that would be worth the money (ie Peyton Manning), I would trade my top pick every year. You get in return a known commodity, and one that is worth the amount teams are splurging on draft picks

They need picks more than one single stud player. They have some good pieces in place, but not much depth. Trade for players and picks and grow the team. very smart move. RGIII wouldn't make the Rams that much better.

Unless Peyton manning was on the board

Haha, yeah. Or Berry, or some other "sure thing" Vol.

The NFL is much better at assessing talent than the NBA is, but still they miss a lot. If you can trade a #2 pick, and end up with a #18 pick, and a #40 pick you just improved your odds of having a good draft, IMO, and saved cap space.

...um, the rams really weren't ever going to take (much less considering) Griffin

They need ol badly as well as receiver.. They can get both by trading down

Yeah, but I wonder what they are thinking about their unjustifiable contract with Sam Bradford. Ridiculous.

Griffin @ $25M >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Bradford @ $78M

I guess they're praying that Bradford can go a week without getting hurt. I think a healthy Bradford is better than Robert Griffin.

I'm always wary of guys like Bradford who take a step back after their rookie year. Even if he was injured, he didn't look like a QB who is improving in any regard.

Have a winner (official this Tues):

Redskins trade up to the number 2 pick overall, in return giving the Rams their first round pick for the next 3 years (not like snyder's ever really been too big on the draft over free agency) and this year's 2nd round pick

I do have to say though (the more I think about this), I do feel a bit bad for the browns; continues that history of not having a good (sometimes even just okay) or franchise quarterback of...actually how long has it been since they've had an actually face-of-the-franchise QB?

(not tim couch)

I know some skins fans were complaining about it regarding their team; seems like it's got to be pre-first team moving to Baltimore for them (so at least before 95/96)

Maybe they'll have some consolation in having Justin Blackmon or Trent Richardson

The stupidity of Daniel Snyder never ceases to amaze me.

Griffin is a franchise QB, and despite some weaknesses, they have enough talent to compete for the next two years.

Griffin has the potential to be Aaron Rodgers. You trade for that.
