Randall Carroll

Getting the dude to take a visit this late to UT is the story.
Should be a sign of things to come.

some Cal and USC people think he'll stay on the left coast, others think he is going outta state.

I believe the later......but the trip to UCLA on the 9th scares me. personally i think if we can get him on campus, he is ours.
Agreed...Kiffin, IMO, has so far lived up to his rep as a dynamite recruiter. It's not just a sales pitch to say Carroll could make plays for UT as a freshman...it's a straight up truth. The kid's for real and he's exactly what Tennessee needs on the O side of the ball.

We need more then him, but he is a very nice step in the right direction. Us landing Carroll would send a shockwave across america that everyone is buying into Kiffins plan. Plus, it would be nice to start a pipeline to the LA area.

carroll supposedly said usc does not develop receivers according to scott wolf. i imagine this isn't great for Tenn either considering kiffen's an SC guy.

Unless he brings in a WR coach from the NFL. Like he said kids want to get to the league and nfl coaches will be a huge selling point to some of these kids.

Honest question..

Who has UCLA or Cal but in the league recently other than Jackson?

UT is in fine position with Carroll, USC seems to be out though from what i can can gather from the last article

jordan and hawkins got drafted last year. hawkins is getting decent minutes. our TE stevens got drafted last year too.

ucla hasn't produced a single decent offensive player since jones drew. i really don't think he's going to ucla.

i still think it's between cal and usc.

hawkins has not played much in the past few games and stevens got his first reseption yesterday he is really used to block more than anything

so what? not many teams have produced the number of offensive skill talent players in hte nfl that cal has over the past 5 years. I don't agree that SC hasn't developed WRs, but after SC i'd say cal would be the highest on the list of the people carroll is interested in.

Relatively speaking there is no way that our development at skill positions can get any worse.

Hawkins may have played 10 snaps this year at most. He didn't even play in the glorified pre-season game yesterday. Stevens has caught 1 ball all season.

Im sorry, but If carroll visits he is ours.....We are WRU and he will see that. This is a new staff and he will be under a new/ better coach. Plus, Carroll pretty already said that if Gonzo CUMs (Urban haha...suck it) here he will commit.
