All of our recruits performed well. Think most of them were the outstanding players of their respective games.

out of all of them I'm most impressed with Randall "Tex" Cobb. Seemed to be a special type of player.

I agree, the kid just seemed to have that "it" factor.
Size wise, Douglas looked like a man against boys out there today.

This was also the first time I had seen Wilks live, I really hope he plays WR at UT next year, the way he out jumped the defender on his first TD gave me flashes of Randy Moss.

and Cobb

what were their stats, rememberable plays, athleticism, etc??

this looks like an all-state championship team. We are pretty much getting the all stars. Except that freshman RB from Smyrna, we better have someone at his house TODAY.

Douglas made some great catches and was a load to bring down. The third and 17 catch was huge.
Wilks and Cobb both looked great.
Also, Zach Rogers made a lot of big plays for DL, Alcoa will continue to put out D1 talent over the next few years, and we should go ahead and offer Jermiah Bryson right now.

Cobb and Rogers are complimentary players at BEST for a big program like UT. Signing them would be a signal of a poor recruiting year.

Douglas has good size and made a great catch, could defintely fill a TE role up for 2 or 3 years at UT.

Didn't see Wilks play.

I disagree. Cobb looks to be a solid D-1 player. Zach is better than his brother IMO.

Not every single scholarship player is going to be a superstar. You need guys like Zach and Cobb to have a great team. They fill roles whether it be great special teams players or subs on O or D. I believe Cobb or Zach would be starters on a large majority of D-1 schools by their junior years.

Zach Rodgers was the best overall athlete on the field in his game. DL should have lost the game. Their offense isnt very good but Zach played well on Defense and also made some nice runs as a WR.
If Zach is as tough as his brother, he will make a great safety in college no matter where he goes. He also could be a good slot reciever that can go over the middle like his brother. He followed his blocks very well, and looked like he made some nice "tough" yards after contact.

Cobb looks OK. Has he always been a QB? He would not play that at UT and thus you are going to spend time coaching him into a new position. If G. Jones was a full time QB in HS different story, he is a much greater athlete than Cobb. Exactly what were the stats on Cobb against a really bad opponent in the state final?

I never said every single player is going to be a superstar but we already have our fill of Cobb and Rogers. They are called Lucas and Austin, and we are not a great team.

You're acting like either (a) Rivals is always right, or (b) there's no such thing as a diamond in the rough.

Who me? I never mentioned Rivals and have no clue as to where any of these players are ranked in their system. I watched them and am giving my opinion. There are diamonds in the rough, I don't see Cobb or Rogers being one of those diamonds.

Because Tennessee has never changed someone's position and then went on to have success with them.
