There is a lot of gray area's concerning concussions. There is no real way to positively diagnose one for certain. Yes there are symptoms, but thats it. No blood work, nothing. MRI cannot even detect one. If there were problems that occured afterwards, IMO I don't think OTC tylenol/advil would mask anything serious. JMO though. Main thing ER's want to rule out is a subdural hematoma or even worse a intraparenchymal bleed. A doc sends a patient home with one of those, they are looking at a huge law suit! That's all I have to say about that! lulz
i agree in theory, just giving the recommendations i prefer to follow.
