Random, Thoughts, X,XXIV

The BF wanted me to go to Knoxville for shopping. I needed shoes anyway. 5 hours later, after walking through 8 different places, I ended up with a UT mask, a coozie and Jamaican beef patties, that’s it. He got all kind of stuff. I hate shopping so much. Why can’t someone go into a store, get what they’re there for and get out?

thats why amazon has made so much money. they got errythang!

its funny that amazon started as a used book selling site
I use Amazon too, but Abe's seems to have more of older harder to find items. This one set I just ordered through Abe's had 7 different places that had it and prices ranged from $60- $147, and the one I bought was describe as like new crisp and clean. Amazon had one for $236 described as acceptable.

Had an issue yesterday and they were all over it and had it resolved in less than 2 hours.

I know, tl;dr.

I'm currently reading Kingdom of Ice by Hampton Sides. Story of 1879 Polar exploration to the North Pole. Pretty fascinating. But i love non fiction historical stories

That’s the way I’d rather shop, but he reminds me of my mother. Has to touch everything in the store and browse. Ugh
That’s the way my wife was, she would have to go down every aisle at the grocery store and look at every can, bag and box they had. I’m one of those people that pretty much knows what I want to get, get it and leave. Needless to say after going with her a couple of times early in the marriage I griped so much she didn’t want me to go with her anymore and I didn’t want to go either. 🤪

It all evens out when we turn the corner on the beer aisle at Kroger. I can spend 89 hours assembling my own six pack.

I'm pretty bad on the chip aisle too. Too many choices.

Don’t usually get chips but today I got some hint of lime tostitos and some bean dip and salsa. As far as beer I get some PBR and I’m out of there.

I only have myself to blame, I knew better. Who goes to a specialty store to just buy a pillow?

That sounds interesting. Have you read Endurance, Ernest Shackleton’s Incredible Voyage?

Possibly the most incredible story I have read.
have not but i highly recommend any book by Hampton Sides. Memphis native and he's done several great books. Hellhound on His Trail is about the Dr King assassination and super interesting especially if u are familiar with Memphis
