Random, Thoughts, X,XXIV

I thought that today might get “interesting.” What I feared would happen was what did happen.

I’m curious: isn’t part of playing sports the bit about learning that sometimes you lose, and you just suck it up and come out again next time and do better?

My younger daughter came out to visit last week with her new boyfriend (brave soul, lol.) He’s Australian, and he’s baffled. He said that in Ozzieland, when you vote for someone and they lose, you suck it up and try again 3 years later. (Different election cycle, I guess.) Didn’t we used to do that?

I remember those days like it was 4 years ago.

Both sides are poor losers. Dems spent how much effort looking to impeach Trump? Now Trump is losing his mind because he lost. This is politics in America. Neither side likes to lose, and both sides throw temper tantrums when they do. There are no grown ups left in Washington, just a bunch of very old children.

I really hope you're not implying that the Dems were good sports about losing in 2016. Far from it. This time it's the Republicans having a hissy fit. Partisan politics is destroying this country.

They’re also required by law to vote so they get 96% turn out. It definitely makes the games with the votes harder to play when you can’t go sign a bunch of people up while trying to suppress the opposition.

vote 3rd party and vote them all out!!!

ok. That will be my only political post in the zone.
