So my son's football coach brought in a nutritionist and he had them working out and running and was giving them supplements and the coach was let go because of this.

Was he let go because of the supplements or something?
How old is your son, rocy?

My son is 15. And I am guessing someone had a issue with supplements.
It sounds like it.
You'll have to keep us posted on how your son's football season goes next year. Will he be playing varsity?
My school played its first game last Saturday. We play again on Friday night. Virginia is doing an abbreviated spring season because they didn't play last fall.

I would have an issue with it if I wasn't informed.
Yeah, that'd definitely require parental consent for sure. Surely there was a consent form, though. ????

Edit: There was a time twenty years ago when I kept Hall's and Ricola cough drops in my room in a little bowl if the students needed them and thought nothing about it. They could just come up and get one. Now they must have a note on file in the clinic to be able to get a cough drop in the clinic.

Then why'd they fire him?

no idea
but that situation could potentially lead to someone losing a position within the system as a teacher/employee, besides just the football coaching gig
After I posted that I thought, well duh, there could have been a consent form, but maybe he didn't disclose errthang or lied etc.

@rocytop2624 we needs mo info bro, don't leave us hanging like this.

My son played a semi normal season. They played the same time of year they always do. Because of covid I didn't know when to sign him up and he had been working out and he had weight training for a class and the coach linebacker coach was the teacher and he asked my son what grade he was in and if he wanted to play he said yes and explained he missed because of covid and he gave him the paperwork and I took him to doctor and signed and he played missed spring and the first 2 games but good experience and he is ready to go this year the kid is strong he works out 5 days a week sometimes 6 he is linebacker. He will be JV for now.
