I thought about that right after I posted.

I'm a little concerned about the new package for the intermediate tracks. I think the racing will be better for the 1st 499 miles, but crossing the finish line will be more about being in the right position at the right time. Almost like the tandom slingshots experiment several years back at restrictor plate tracks.

It was fun to watch, but just not racing to me. More like a crap shoot. Nobody really wants to be the leader when they take the white flag. I've never really cared for the restrictor plates for that same reason.
