I'll tell a short time share story... Got a fantastic vacation paid for at Marco Island... all we had to do was attend a meeting to introduce us to the time share concept. And then take a tour. Well, we attended the the preliminary meeting on the first day of a 4 day vaca... and when they called us to attended a tour, we went to the pool and laid out in the sun. They kept calling our room... we ignored the calls. Had the best time, and never got into the time share crap. Yeah, we did not do our part, but tough sheit.
Literally the only smart way to timeshare. Scam them before they scam you.

I went to one of the presentations once. Had no intention of signing up for anything. According to my wife, I was rude the lady.

That’s because timeshares are almost always a ripoff. And more people fall for that than Scientology.

And before you timeshare/Scientologists get butthurt and start with some anecdote about this one time that it worked out well…I don’t care and it’s still a bad idea.
I'm still attempting to understand the appeal of Scientology and how seemingly reasonable people fall for that scam. I honestly think it's all a L. Ron Hubbard joke gone wrong. Or maybe he really was bat **** crazy. I don't know. Just seems strange that a science fiction writer can create a world-wide cult that has ensnared so many, including celebrities.

Damn, you don't think they monitor the internet, do you? If I disappear, tell them it was the Scientologists.

My wife and I listened to a time share pitch on our honeymoon in the Bahamas years ago. The only reason we decided to do that was because after the sales pitch was over we would receive $120.00 regardless of our decision. We even got a free lunch out of it. After a couple of hours, I told the dude time was up give us the money. The guy was heartbroken but I Didn’t give AF either. The money turned out to be a voucher for the casino at the Atlantis where we were staying. Problem was I didn’t like to gamble that much. I took the voucher, got the chips, and went over to the roulette table. Gave the chips to the lady behind the wheel informing her I was ready to cash out. She looked at me funny and gave me the cash chips. Went back to the checkout cashier guy and secured my 120 bucks. We went to the best steak joint in the Atlantis resort that night and had two bottles of champagne. Oh yeah FU(k TIME SHARES!

Is "fuggers" an acceptable word on the FF?

It depends on the mod really. I have called other posters douche in the FF and there is about a 50/50 chance of it being removed. I had a douche comment deleted once and a MOD messaged me saying you still can't call bearded a douche even when it is true.
