What's the typical response to your accent, C-Dub?

No one has really said anything. I asked my roommate about it. He's from upstate NY. He said it was noticeable, but not really heavy. I was in Quantitative Reasoning the other day and said something about rice. The professor and everybody from here said "What's rice?" I have a friend from South Caroline in there and he said "What are y'all talking about? He just said rice." Then they all asked him what he was saying.

You're kind of a double-kid I bet, right? One kid in Tennessee. Another kid in NYC. Landscaper in the Summer and then you're annunciating your I's and dropping your Ain'ts and hanging in the big-bad Manhattan in the Fall. I got that right?

A lot of people do that. Just completely change who they are when they move here. I haven't really changed at all. Maybe a little smarter, but I can't notice any changes. I didn't have a very heavy accent when I was in TN either.
