my grandmother is in the hospital again.. well actually was moved to hospice today. but her Dr. said her Troponin levels were high. Said they should be less than 0.6 but hers are 1.4. They also said that meant a heart attack occured or is imminent. Looking it up at the National Institute of Health it said that levels should be so low that it's undetected. Any knowledge about that?

they were saying there was a test or procedure or something to confirm. but they are highly doubtful she would survive itTroponin is released when the heart muscles are under stress or lack of oxygenated blood, so it could be a heart attack or near one. Yes. She prolly needs an angiogram which may lead to a bypass surgery or maybe just a stent in one of her coronary arteries.

yeah, that's it. because i first thought that they were going to try to put her on a treadmill. no way that's happening, she can't walk without a walker and someone holding her. actually this week she couldn't walk at all.Maybe a stress test, lot of factors involved. Basically a stress test tries to make you have a heart attack and the images show what parts of the heart muscles are damaged or are not getting enough oxygenated blood flow.
