I'm currently waiting on a tree to fall across the road so the electric company will chop it up and haul it off for me. There's a 50% chace it will fall that way and I won't have to deal with it.

I cam home a few years ago and noticed that one of my large pine trees across the road had been cut. After doing a little research, I determined that the electric company had cut it. I wasnt happy about it but there was nothing I could do about it. Also had 2 40 plus year old oak trees in the front yard, when they ran rural water out here, the trenched too close to them and killed them both.

I really dont see as it being any of my business, they are adults, they are gonna have to handle it themselves. I am gonna stand back and see how it plays out. If something happens and he harms her for some reason, I will then take appropriate action, but I really dont see that happening. He claims that there is nothing to it, that they were just talking and texting. Of course, thats what I would say too. We'll see.

Too bad he didn't do something really fawked-up like miss a call at 3rd. Then you woulda had every right to beat dat ass.

Good call bubba. Nothing you can do will help the situation, except being a caring dad. Beating the brakes off of some guy accomplishes nothing but a night in the clink and 4 missed work days for court.

I like the kid. I am not sure that it has been proven that he has actually done anything. Wife came home upset this afternoon and told me, she didnt go into large detail and I didnt push it. I guess I will hear the details when she is ready to tell me. I havent spoken to the girl or the SIL. I am just gonna stay out of sight, out of mind until they decide they want to talk about it. There is always 2 sides to every story, I will wait for both, or neither.

Going to shoot the bow and the .257 tomorrow, starting to get chilly at night again. I don't early bowhunt, I can't hunt unless it's fairly cold. Doesn't seem right.

me and the boy are finishing the fence tomorrow so i can get that off of my list. He has his last tournament next weekend, then we go to St Louis the weekend after to the drags. After that, I am devoting all of my weekend to getting ready to hunt. I am way behind where I usually am at this time.

I've got our family woodlot and a buddies farm I hunt, so I'm pretty familiar, we don't grow bucks here in southern New England, so scouting is pretty much wasted time. Stalk the ridges and make sure your aim is on.

me and the boy hunt on a pipeline. You can see as far as you want on both side. We have 5 stands that we hunt. We plant the whole thing in rye grass and oats every year and also feed corn and rice bran. We lease 8000 acres total, but we mainly hunt just on the pipeline. We have killed some good deer the last few years. We dont shoot small bucks. Alot of our lease is clear cuts because the timber company that owns it apparently knows nothing about timber management. I am gonna try and get a few cameras out next Friday so I can see what we have to work with this year.
