and what do they get in return that will help them win right now?

An additional note: I think it has been proven that BB plans for the future, evident by transactions in recent years. It is part of the genius of BB -- brilliant manager.

Nothing really.

Wouldn't be surprised if they attempted to trade for another WR with Mankins.

Price will be good, he just isn't ready. The only real comparable player is Brandon Tate, but he isn't Moss. It will certainly enable teams to gameplan around Welker instead of Moss, making it much more dificult to get the ball to Welker every other play -- quite literally.

Now that they have double picks in each of the first 3 rounds, I think it would make sense to trade for someone like vincent jackson.

Hmmmm......

I think the Pats are goign to regret this. Their defense is shaky at best and the offense hasn't been hitting on all cylinders as is.

Let's see what Dark Hoodie has up his cut off sleeves.

As for Brett and Randy , they wanted to be on the same team for awhile now. This will make for another excuse for Brett to come back again next year when they send Moss down to Mississippi to get him 3 weeks before the season begins :banghead2:

Seriously , even if he doesn't come back next year , it will be an issue until the season starts. Will it ever end? :mf_surrender:

Moss might work perfectly in Brett's chuck and pray system

The Pats FO is just nasty when it comes to trading. They got 2 picks in the first four rounds of the 2011 draft; Oakland's 1st, Carolina's 2, Minny's 3rd, and Denver's 4th. Plus they traded a 4th to get Moss a few years ago and turn around and trade him for a 3rd...
