Does anyone have a better resume as a QB coach than Randy Sanders? Not an OC, a QB coach.

Cutcliffe was either OC or head coach for most of his best players. Cutcliffe was a QB coach only from 1990 to 1993. That leaves only Heath Shuler directly under him as a QB coach.

Cutcliffe was his own qb coach while he was OC at TN. That gives him elder Manning.

Randy gets a bad rap on VN . He is a good coach.

He called the plays in the '98 BCS win over FSU. He is now going back to the BCSCG on the FSU sidelines. He was also the OC of what may the Vols best team in modern history, 2001. He gave many years to UT as a player and coach. He was unfortunately Fulmers 1st fall guy.

Yes. Randy coached wr '91-92. In '93 he moved to RB and recruiting coordinator .He coached QB while serving as OC

He did good with Ainge and Schaffer as freshman then Rick C filling in late. Rumor is Sanders wanted to stick with Ainge in 05 but Fulmer kept pushing for Rick to get a chance (supposedly to help land Jimmy). Only they know the truth though.

And his WIDE RECIEVER!

:nono: I know I am sounding like your English teacher/old maid aunt but it is "RECEIVER"--"i before e except after c, or when sounded like a, as in neighbor or weigh."

I don't think they teach those pesky grammar and spelling rules any more--too busy being required to teach self esteem and altered versions of history.
Not a pick at teachers, and I know I will get blasted but hey, it is officially the off-season and there is always room for improvement, on or off the field.

The insistence on R. Clausen over Ainge, IMHO, was the catalyst for Fulmer's downfall.

good position coach, playcaller he was avg.
day to day running of an offense he was terrible. he let chavis pick any 'athlete' they ever recruited and did a poor job of player development, but fulmer deserves blame for that too.

Great QB coach terrible play caller

I still think Fulmer told him what to call. Randy did a great job in the championship game, then after that it's like his hands were tied. He was simply a scapegoat.

I found this note from his resume interesting...

2001 - vs. UGA....called the WR bubble screen 17 times believing it would work every time
