Randy Sanders' resume

Sander's did a good job w/ qb's in general, but didn't handle some "personalities" well. When guys screwed up, his method was to chew them out, some people don't respond well to negative reinforcement. That's why when Cut came back, Ainge performed much better. Cut was better at coddling guys who were struggling, knew how to nurse sensitive personalities better the RS.

I will probably get flamed for saying this, but Sanders had more experience as an assistant, recruiting coordinator, and offensive coordinator, than Kiffin or Dooley not to mention he played QB at UT and is extremely intelligent.

I would have much rather had Sanders as a HC in 2010 than Dooley.

That's not what AINGE said--and it's not EVEN CLOSE!

Ainge himself said that Cut came back to Tenn. and the first thing they did in their one-on-one meetings was teach Ainge defensive assignments!

Ainge had to LEARN how and why DBs and LBs read and react before he could understand the philosophy behind what UT was trying to do offensively. He said Cut taught him this and it helped him to understand the game and make his progressions much faster.

Not trying to be argumentative, but besides being stoned on hydrocodone--AINGE just didn't understand the game and had never been taught. :hi:

Personally--I never liked Ainge anyway--his ONLY claim to fame was beating UGA in his freshman year. He played decent against Cal, too--but he was bailed out in MANY games by Shaeffer (sp?).

Also--Rick Clausen won the starting QB job and demonstrated that he was good enough to lead that team when he played lights out against aTm in the Bowl game before it went all down hill for CPF the next year...

He beat Georgia in 06 and 07 as well. That 07 Georgia team finished the season ranked #2. He was the last QB to lead the Vols to the SECCG. Oh, and he was the last Tennesee QB to beat the gators not to mention the bammers. Considering what we've had to work with since I'd gladly take him back.
