Who you got?

1. Florida
2. SC
3. Georgia
4. Tenn
5. Kentucky
6. Vandy

It's really up in the air IMO...UF loses several good players but they are still the cream of the crop in the East and return a lot of good talent. Given Urban returns next year I put them at no.1. Brantley has more experience than the future QBs at UGA and UT.

If SC didn't have such a bad history of crumbling down the stretch it would be logical to have them at no.1. They return an experienced Garcia, all runningbacks, essentially all the receivers, Saunders (given he comes back) and most of the defense. They lose only 9 seniors and the good defense this past year was made up primarily of freshmen/sophomores and several juniors.

Georgia returns a lot of good players especially on offense and they've played really well at the end of the year. There are a couple things I see that keep behind SC for the no.2 spot. They'll start an inexperienced freshman QB, there are no guarentees with the defense that was terrible this year, and the game against SC at SC will probably be the tiebreaker between the 2. I think SC will have the advantage in that game mainly because of experience and being at home.

UT loses some valuable players this year and will start a new inexperienced QB next year. Believe it or not, I think they will have a drop in production at QB next year considering how well Crompton played down the stretch so I put them at 4th.

Its really tough to say how the SEC will shake out next year but this is my best unbiased opinion. I wouldn't be surprised if any of the top 4 took the East next year.

Now that's damn funny right there.

Next year, none of the top 4 teams winning would really surprise me. I think UT takes it in 2011. USC fans better hope they get it next year, because I don't think they will have much of a chance after that.

USCjr. is going to have to actually come close to winning the division before I consider them serious contenders.

1. FLA / TN
2. GA
3. SC
4. KY
5. Vandy

KY and SC return the most players, along with GA. GA returns all but 1 on offense - QB.
My gut says UF will win the East because of talent, but we'll have to wait and see. Tough road games in Neyland and Bama. I think we lose 2-3 regular season games next year, 1 to Bama and another unknown.
If TN can beat UF in Knoxville, TN will win the east. It is returning to the good ole days with a UF / UT rivalry.
As for SC, you have some good young talent, but your boy Norwood is gone. More of the same dissapointment for SC again next year, IMHO. Not dogging your team, but I have to see SC actually contend for a title before I will ever put them as contenders.

UF, USCe, UT, and UGA could finish anywhere from 1-4. It should be an interesting year.

SC has crumbled too many times for me to take them seriously, for the past two or three years we have heard the same thing, "this year is their year". As for Georgia I honestly don't know what to think, they look good at times and then lay an egg.

I agree that just about any of the 1-4 teams could end up winning it, I wouldn't be surprised to see Florida with 3 or 4 losses, more likely they end up with 2 though. Next year will be an interesting year IMO.

South Carolina will start the season 5-1 with stirring wins over Wofford, Furman, and maybe even Vanderbilt, the fans will get excited that "this is the year" they win their second ever conference championship and first in 41 years... and then they'll finish the season 7-5, again.

This is probably USC's best chance to win the East since they joined the SEC. It will be truly wide open next year.

1. UT/UF - will be decided in Neyland
2. UT/UF
3. Georgia
4. Kentucky
5. USCjr
6. Vanderbilt

This is hysterical. Has South Carolina ever even finished at #3? I think they have managed it once. Now they should be expected to finish at #1. OK

This thread is hilarious, there are only 3 teams in the east that have ever mattered.

UF
UT
UGA

SC light need not apply

SC will be in it next year. If you don't think that, you clearly don't follow college football.

Yeah right, I have followed SEC since I was a kid, SC sucks, always has and always will.

Here is a fact shocker for you. SC has had 2 of the best coaches to ever coach football and the best you guys can do is 6-7 wins:eek:lol::eek:lol:

You guys are mediocre and will always be mediocre. You might have one good year here and there but will always finish 3rd or lower in the SEC east.

You're right we haven't proved we can do anything big over the past few years so I'll withhold my judgement. We have the 2nd least seniors in the country but I expect all teams in the SEC to improve as well. I think we finish 3rd or 4th.

Yeah you'll be in it....through game 6. After that you won't, just like every year.

When you actually play strong in the second half of the season, we'll take you seriously. Until then, you suck and you're as relevant as Vandy.
