Rank the 2010 SEC East

If USC does not take care of UGA in Columbia the second week of the season, they will have no chance of winning the East. @ Auburn is probably a loss, vs Alabama is probably a loss, @ UF is probably a loss.

UGA probably has the best schedule. @ USC and @ Auburn are their 2 major road games. UF is a neutral site.

UF and TN both have Bama and LSU

UT
UGA
UF
USC (Hey at least you are consistent right?)
UK
Vandy

Get used to it folks, UGA and UF will flip that #2 spot as the best coaching staff in the country takes us to Atlanta every year.

Who you got?

1. Florida
2. SC
3. Georgia
4. Tenn
5. Kentucky
6. Vandy

It's really up in the air IMO...UF loses several good players but they are still the cream of the crop in the East and return a lot of good talent. Given Urban returns next year I put them at no.1. Brantley has more experience than the future QBs at UGA and UT.

If SC didn't have such a bad history of crumbling down the stretch it would be logical to have them at no.1. They return an experienced Garcia, all runningbacks, essentially all the receivers, Saunders (given he comes back) and most of the defense. They lose only 9 seniors and the good defense this past year was made up primarily of freshmen/sophomores and several juniors.

Georgia returns a lot of good players especially on offense and they've played really well at the end of the year. There are a couple things I see that keep behind SC for the no.2 spot. They'll start an inexperienced freshman QB, there are no guarentees with the defense that was terrible this year, and the game against SC at SC will probably be the tiebreaker between the 2. I think SC will have the advantage in that game mainly because of experience and being at home.

UT loses some valuable players this year and will start a new inexperienced QB next year. Believe it or not, I think they will have a drop in production at QB next year considering how well Crompton played down the stretch so I put them at 4th.

Its really tough to say how the SEC will shake out next year but this is my best unbiased opinion. I wouldn't be surprised if any of the top 4 took the East next year.

After the way they look against UCONN they will most definitely be competing for the top spot in the SEC East.

Shoot, now I'm just hoping UConn doesn't end up in the SEC East before the start of next season.

with meyer:

1. Fla
2. Ga
3. UT
4. SC
5. UK
6. Vandy

without Meyer:

1. Ga
2. Fla
3. UT
4. SC
5. UK
6. Vandy

pretty much how i see it off the top of my head. if meyer doesn't come back next year, the east is pretty much up for grabs between ut, ga, and fla IMO.

8-4 would be a strech for us.

Oregon - home
UF - home
Bama - home
Ole Miss - home
LSU - road
UGA - road

4 of those at home helps, but

of those you listed, i say our only losses come against oregon, bama, and LSU. IMO, the rest of those games are very winnable.

LSU is not a sure loss as long as Miles is their coach. I still think UT loses.

They have the talent to beat any team they play, and the coaching staff to lose to any team they play.

My early prognostication for the 2010 SEC East final standings:

1. Georgia
2. Florida
3. Tennessee
4. South Carolina
5. Vanderbilt
6. Kentucky

I just get the feeling UGA is due to make their way back into the SEC title game. This list subject to change up until September 1. :p
