Kentucky - Mitch Barnhart

LSU - Joe Alleva

Mississippi - Ross Bjork

Mississippi State - Scott Stricklin

Honestly, how "good" or "bad" an athletic director is doing at a school needs be judged by a lot more than just one sport (i.e., football...or in Kentucky's case, basketball)

I couldn't begin to rank Hart honestly but I like what I've saw so far. Anyone looks good after Hamilton who against all odds found ways to make a dumpster fire even worse.

I think Hart has done a decent job putting us back on course for being an SEC contender in a lot of sports though.

So far I cant really think of anything terrible that Hart has done. I will admit though, I was furious when I found out Gruden wasnt coming. That was dumbassery on my part.

As bad as I hate the gators though I have to say that I think their AD is the best in the business.

I would put Battle, Long and Foley at the top and Hart bottomfeeding with aTm. IDT Hart handled the Dooley Debacle or the hiring of his replacement well, and he allowed both to heap embarrassment on the university. If that isn't enough, he looks like a Botoxed Herman Munster with a bad dye job in photo opps. And now UTAD is back in the news over-- of all things-- a band feud.

The only negative I can think of regarding Hart right now was his leaving Louisville after that the meeting with a clearly-interested-and-wanting-to-take-the-job Charlie Strong without having him sign a contract....

That's not to say anything along the lines of Strong being any sort of better hire than Butch or the program ending up in better hands with one versus the other; it was just a very novice move.

Foley probably is the best. He was an assistant AD in the 80s at UF under Bill Arnsparger and he saw how the ex-coach totally fouled up a pretty good athletic department. At times, Arnsparger's mistakes made Mike Hamilton's look tame by comparison.

I had thankfully forgotten about that - uuuuuugggggg

If you are trying to close a deal - first thing that I would do would be to invite my wife and then the school President ( a booger eater ) and his wife and just make mini-vaca out of the trip. What could possibly go wrong ?
