More or less, that's about right. I don't think Ark is better than UK tho.

1. Bama- VT win looks good, even without Hightower, D is stout!
2. Florida- Suprisingly no WRs at all! Not a lot of depth in the playmaker Dep.
3. Georgia- SUPRISE, could change in a hurry but they have 2 impressive SEC wins.
4. LSU- ? Have not been impressive at all but are loaded in talent.
5. South Carolina- SUPRISE, they have been solid; should have beaten UGA.
6. Auburn- The O has been stellar, but aint beat nobody.
7. Ole Miss- Thought they were way overrated, may be worse than Arky.
8. UT- There is some talent, No QB= HUGE problems
9. Arky- Mallet is a beast, absolutely no D, worse than UGA's, lmao
10. Miss State- Played much better than I thought, LSU = goaline stand :(
11. UK- Aint played nobody, first game down 31-0 in the 1st, u are kidding, right?
12. Vandy- might win 3 games this year; yeah i know they have already won 2.

Arkansas hasn't beaten us in a decade. until that happens,....

Fair enough. :eek:k: But my point was more along the lines of who has the better offense, not who has won more games in the last 10 years. Point being, that an offense under petrino typically out performs us, especially once he recruits his players. Minus our stellar year in 07 with Woodson and the boys, our offense has been exactly what these stats show, which is below average, not to mention the stats are padded with blowout games early in the season.

If you compared stats for just SEC play only, I think we would be even further down the totum pole, so to speak. Stats for the two years of Petrino at Arkansas (with Nutt's players) vs two years of UK.

2009 current stats

Pass Yards
Arkansas 1046
Kentucky 514 (222 in one game)

Pass TD
Arkansas 9
Kentucky 4

Rush Yards
Arkansas 284
Kentucky 499

Rush TD
Arkansas 2
kentucky 5

2008 Stats

Pass Yards
Arkansas 3115
Kentucky 2234

Pass TD
Arkansas 19
Kentucky 11

Rush yards
Arkansas 1362
Kentucky 1657

Rush TD
Arkansas 13
Kentucky 18

Fairly even, I think. But if you watch the two offenses operate seperately, you come away with the impression that Arkansas is little more refined, IMO. I just think that when its said and done, our offense does not stack up. Make this comparison again in 2 years, (assuming Petrino doesn't jump ship somewhere else) and it will be worse, IMO.

Disclaimer: Providing all of this useless information does not reflect the feelings of the poster. I hate Bobby Petrino. :)

Talent-wise, we're fairly close to Bama, IMHO. If you look at recruiting over the past few years, we've been up there. However, and I'm trying to be kind here, our D-coordinating.........reeks. We make avg teams look good on O, and we make good teams look great. Florida's gonna kill us unless we can score 100 or more. This week should be a barn-burner against LSU. The last team to score will win it. USC is improving and I think will have a good season overall, by their standards. Bama's solid but watch for them slipping to a team that they're supposed to beat, maybe you guys or LSU. I'm just glad that we don't play them this year. I didn't think Ole Miss was a top 10 team (and now their not). Have you ever seen a team drop that far in the rankings after losing one game!

Good luck this week. Should be a great game and a great weekend for the best sport ever.

Sorry, it's "they're not" not "their not". (I was an accounting major).

In many ways Richt is starting to remind me more and more of Fulmer.

Richt is obviously very good at recruiting and offense. But he is too loyal to Martinez. They're best friends but sometimes you have to do your friend a favor and let him know that he is over his head. Martinez, Like Richt, is a very good person and his players love him. But he is obviously having problems scheming against offenses unless they are one-dimensional. In that situation he's a genius!

Great. There went my hopes against UGA.

As for rankings...

1. Bama - best team in country IMO.
2. Florida - lack of receivers and injured Tebow raise red flags.
3. LSU - by default
4. Auburn - Undefeated is undefeated in my book.
5. UGA - Just not overly impressed yet.
6. SC - Defense is solid as it gets.
7. Ole Miss - I felt so vindicated last Thursday.
8. Arkansas - feel free to crucify me, I just have to ask my question who would realistically win if UT played the Hogs and I'm not sure our offense could keep up with them even with out D.
9. Tennessee - change one player and they might be as high as #3. And I think losing Reviez hurts more than anyone realizes yet.
10. Kentucky - why not?
11. Mississippi State - Ranked below UK solely because of the absurdity of playcalling and execution on the 4 inch line Saturday.
12. Vandy - back to normal.

LMAO! I was thinking as I was posting that some Vols might take exception to it. We may or may not match up with you well. When you guys get a QB you'll be fine. I agree about the undefeated thing to a point. We lost to Ok St. and they've proven to not be so great. Now if we'd lost to UF I might disagree with you.

Facts are facts, whether we liek them or not.

UF- tebow nuff said
Bama- stopper D and great running game
UGA- explosive w/ Green, questionable D
LSU- could go down the list bigtime, haven't played anyone yet
SC- great D, Garcia improving
AU- no D, surprising offense, will upset a few this year
Ole Miss- snead is overrated, D will be better than expected
Arky- mallet may be best passer in the league, no D at all
UT- until QB problem is solved, can't put them higher
Miss St- had LSU beat last week, will be good in a few years under mullen
UK- i was expecting a close game for at least quarter, 31-0 isn't exactly close
Vandy- solid D as always, no offense to speak of

Calling our D "questionable" is very kind and might be the understatement of the year!
