I wonder how many times Neyland will be listed ahead of Bryant...Just because Neyland beat Bryant when he was at UK doesn't make Neyland the better head coach. Bryant's only competition for #1 should be Knute Rockne
Neyland DID go 5-0-2 against Bryant. That should be worth something. Not saying that Neyland is the better of the two, just saying that facing Bryant seven times and finishing with a 5-0-2 record in those games carries a bit of weight.
Just my two cents.
I think he is the best in the game right now, but I don't think his overall body of work is enough to place him with the all time greats yet. If he can keep Bama at the level they're at right now he'll be there.I'm surprised no one has said saban. Like it or not he is the only coach to win a championship with two different schools in the modern era.
