The ranking does sound about right. If the program gets back to its winning ways, I'd expect to jump some of those teams (UCLA). I am surprised to see South Carolina so close behind.

With Spurrier's success at South Carolina and the recent success of Clemson, the state as a whole is much more fertile grounds for football these days. That'd be my guess, anyways.

I'm not. Spurrier has helped tremendouosly. SC produces good football players that are starting to stay in state.

With everything the Vols have been through the last few years I am surprised they are ranked as high as they are. I'm glad they are in the top 20. I believe Michigan is ranked a little to high though. I believe both colleges should be around the same, but Michigan a couple spots higher considering the troubles they have had over the years also.

I agree they should be closer but UM has bounced back recently where as UT hasn't.

Considering all we've endured the last 5 years...#18 looks pretty good.

Here's hoping that is where we bottomed out.

I think that's pretty accurate considering the state of the program. Imagine what it would look like if we were winning. The brand is strong but it could be better. Butch has to be the guy--the University can't keep taking these negative PR hits and losing seasons. The administration borrowed from the athletic department like an ATM now it's time for the AD and it's resources to be treated like it deserves. Alabama and Texas A & M prove winning football programs (as well as the other sports programs) pay off in the short term and long term for the ENTIRE university.

I would put us at 15. I don't think Nebraska, UCLA, or Auburn are better jobs. Auburn still riding that NC Chizik bought them.

Sad we are only two spots ahead of South Carolina now...Spurrier has really done wonders for their program.

Because the title of the thread is "ranking of CFB jobs in 2013". I didn't think it was that hard to comprehend.
