I agree they should be closer but UM has bounced back recently where as UT hasn't.
Guess which sec school has the most undefeated season in the last 20 years.
Tennessee and Alabama are the only other schools to have undefeated season. Each have 1.
The other school has 3
I got it...but a better gig than UT!?! How many of those seasons were not while on probation or grounds for probation or may yet be? Scum of the conference imo.
Just to play devil's advocate, how is Tennessee definitively a better gig?
Auburn has accomplished as much or more in recent years.
Both have challenges and drawbacks
I think it's splitting hairs personally
Fair enough...
More SEC titles
More NC's (2nd most in the SEC, I believe Gator )
Better town
Better state, for that matter
Fewer issues with the NCAA
More NFL players (including several in the pro-bowl this year, Foster, Manning, Berry etc.)
Better education (standards many here have not embraced yet as they have there)
Better coach, in fact we have the best staff in the country
Our trees are not dying
And did I mention UT is NOT in Alabama
To me, its apples and oranges. UT and AU are not in the same class. I know UT has been down, but AU wasnt really takin names last year...
Oh, and as our esteemed new coach pointed out, we have the winningest program in the country since 1927! GBO! BTW, dont those orange and white checkerboards give EVERY body chillbumps!?!?

And just to be clear, I do think Tennessee is obviously the better program historically. But I think it is almost equal in terms of the better coaching job. Although I think both of those jobs are better than Nebraska and UCLA.
Agree both are better than Nebraska, Aubie...and nothin personal about the tree reference... I stand by my opinions though, and we dont count titles like bammers, and we dont buy them either. GBO!
Interesting article. It has UT at 18th nationally and 7th in the SEC behind UF, Bama, GA, LSU, A&M and Auburn. Thoughts?

Technically everybody "buys" their championships by paying all of the staff on and off the field. Not to mention spending money on everything else involved with football, whether it be advertising, getting the field/facilities ready, etc. Is this a poor attempt at saying that we paid for Cam Newton? Please, if you have any proof, go ahead and contact the NCAA. I'm sure they'd love to hear of any proof.
