Butch Jones has beat three top 25 teams

#22 Pitt
#24 Vandy
#25 Va Tech

That's a poor job by Mr Haney

Only counts if they were ranked at the time they played the game. Not sure if they were or not. That's the way it's tracked anyway.

So, wait. We took Cincy's coach and they supposedly made a BETTER hire by replacing CBJ?!

Foolish, idiotic, sensationalist articles are foolish, idiotic and sensationalist.

It's ridiculous to rank coaching hires until you get the results of what they produce on the field...imo.

I think you can rank a hire now based on fit and perception - but it's a guess. Just like star-ranking high school players, you really don't know the kind of player they will be in college until you get the results of what they produce on the field. But plenty of people make a living ranking players.

This...western kentucky got the best coach. But I think we are in the top three.

Just some 'Big Blue' fan trying to pizz off the rivals.

No need to sweat it boyz...time will tell. I think we got the winner in the group.

Yell old Bobby can walk in to a kids living room and tell your son come play with me and I can teach him to chase a little

lulz

Only because no one else would hire Coach Happy Pants. He'll be there one year, two at the MOST, then he's back in Div 1-A ball again.

Wouldn't any coach who has great success there be gone after a year or two? I thought the same way you did at first but after thinking about it, if someone is winning at WKU they are going to be gone soon anyway so they are either renting a coach for a year or two or stuck in mediocrity, right? Somewhat like how Ark St has been the last few years....

The list makes no sense, I can see Arkansas, WKU, and Auburn ranking over us, and maybe even the guy at NC State who did such a great job at Northern Illinois, but definitely no lower that 5th.

Bret Bielema to Arkansas ranks as offseason's top coaching hire - NCF - ESPN

1. Arkansas
2. Kentucky
3. Western Kentucky
4. Auburn
5. South Florida
6. Texas Tech
7. Wisconsin
8. Cincinnati
9. Tennessee Volunteers

10. NC State
11. Colorado
12. Southern Miss
13. Purdue
14. Arkansas State
15. Cal

So Tennessee was supposed to be the best job out there this offseason, and we make the 9th best hire. Kudos, Dave Hart.

And before you say anything about Travis Haney (the guy who wrote this) hating UT, he's from Cleveland, TN and is a UTK alum.
Lets remember this list and compare it to the end of next season.

when was the last time any real UT fan ever cared about anything Travis Haney has said, wrote, or thought...

Travis Haney also thought Tn should hire Golden or Fedora ahead of Strong. Haney has been a joke for years. I put him on the same level as Rucker and Lowe

Those who can - do--those who can't, write about those who can.
