In the RPI and 2 rankings so far, Vols are not in Top-16
Baseball America has returned Tennessee to their poll after being the only one last week not to rank
Tennessee will need to win South Carolina series to host.

Collegiate Baseball Rankings is out.
I am not including them.
You can look them up but I will not enable you to do so by providing a link.

I threatened to, long ago but these assclams should no longer receive consideration as a serious publication

For kicks and giggles, I went and looked at Oral Roberts who "The site that shall not be named" has a top-10 team when no one else has them ranked at all.

Oral Roberts
40-11
20-1 (Summit League)
ORU is the only team in the league over .500!!!
South Dakota State has the highest record at 21-23
23-4 home
17-7 away
0-0 neutral
RPI 78
Non Conf RPI 63
SOS 251
Non Conf SOS 109

Vs. RPI
Q1 4-5 (2-0 vs. Ok State / 0-3 vs DBU)
Q2 4-1 (3-0 vs Wichita St / 1-1 vs Mo State)
Q3 2-2 (2-1 vs Memphis / 0-1 vs Abilene Christian)
Q4 30-3 ( 2 losses to SFA, 1 loss to NDSU)

ORU has played six games against Saint Thomas (#299 RPI out of 305)

" Ye Who should be named" speaks of ORU's 12 game winning streak
that streak includes
In the last 9 games, they played 8 games against teams ranked no higher than 279 with an upset win over Oklahoma State in Tulsa

Coaches Poll
Up only 1 spot to 19
Again Kentucky is one spot behind after falling 4 spots

A thought has come to mind.
If LSU can lose 2 games at home to 13th place Mississippi State, what are the going to do at Georgia?
If the Bulldogs do the unthinkable and steal Thursday game against Skenes with late runs against bullpen, and then complete the sweep, do we not think that LSU risks not only being outside the top-8 but possibly outside the top-16?

I believe the rankings are giving them one more chance based on their early season but will kill them if they lose a third series in a row against a vastly inferior team.

They are vulnerable now. I think they have a tough time getting through a regional.

I’ve been saying LSU were frauds for the majority of the season. Can’t win with one pitcher, especially if that one pitcher has an off game. They will be screwed come Tournament time.

I am different than most. I do not think the polls should take into account whether you are up or down or on a roll or on a stroll. They should take into account who you beat and who beat you, not where you played or any of that stuff. It is the total work not the work that day. With that, I just don't get the polls. Clemson, Coastal, and Miami have the same number of losses as we do and they are not close to the same level losses. I don't get why they or you guys keep bringing up our road schedule? It does not matter where you win or lose but that you won or lost. It may when it comes to the playoffs but it should not be included in the determination of where you fall in playoffs.

I know CTV was disappointed they did not win a second game in Baton Rouge.
And think about Arkansas, they won on night Skenes started after killing the bullpen. Which means they lost games 2 and 3 against that staff?!?!

Teams that have this sort of pitching problems late in season don't often "self-correct". The pitching staff is broken and their games from this point on will be against teams better than Mississippi State.

I’m not a baseball guru so can’t comment. But does the committee use road records when seeding for regionals? Thanks!

I totally agree with you and I pointed out coastal Clemson and Miami in the hosting thread. Makes no sense to me either. I do not think either have played the schedule we have. ACC isn't near the SEC and coastal plays a joke conference.
