Rashida Tlaib’s THOBE, and Ilhan Omar’s HIJAB, are making congressional history

I'm not sure how much more simple it has to be for you to understand that dual-citizenship opens up the door for scrutiny with regards to a person's allegiance.

It really isn't that hard of a concept to comprehend unless you just suffer from cognitive dissonance... or chose to be a hypocrite.
I have never disagreed with you on that point. In fact, I argued to the contrary. If someone is a dual citizen, it does raise questions about who they ultimately are loyal to.

However, for purposes of this specific discussion about Omar, it is a hypothetical, since Omar wasn't talking about dual Israeli-US citizens.

Had an interesting conversation with two Jewish friends of mine about this. I brought up Alan Dershowtiz, who until Trump has usually sided with Dems, but now is routinely on Fox in particular defending Trump. Questions have been posed by many as to whether Dershowitz' loyalty to Israel has caused him to defend Trump because of the perception that Trump is pro-Israel.

One said he thought it is anti-semitic to raise the question. One said he cannot fathom how it is anti-semitic to do so. As the two discussed it, the first eventually admitted that his basis for taking that position was "As a Jew, I just don't like it when you question the motives of people who are Jewish or taking a Jewish stance." Or words to that effect.

After some further discussion, the conclusion was that there is a difference between being Jewish and Zionism.

There is a difference...a big one. A lot of American Jews and Israeli Jews look down on Zionism. It is a Jewish ideology, however, there are many non-Jews who are Zionist...

The bottom line is that Israel, Jews and Zionist are protected from scrutiny by the blanket word “Anti-Semitism”...

When are people going to be allowed to call a spade a spade, when it comes to Israel or Zionism?

That was the position of the second friend. Not to confuse the two.

Take a look at these comments from Netanyahu from last night. Isn't this way worse than what Omar said?

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu was back in the headlineson Sunday, after declaring on social media that “Israel is not a state of all its citizens”. The Likud leader later doubled down, telling his cabinet that Israel is “the nation state not of all its citizens, but only of the Jewish people”.

Given that "Jewish people" live all over the world, doesn't this basically say "hey, in addition to whatever country you are a citizen of, there's this other country (Israel) that belongs to you as well."

Doesn't this basically rest on the dual loyalty trope Omar took heat for?

U.S. Ramps Up Airstrikes Against Al-Qaeda Allies in Somalia

The U.S. military steadily ramped up airstrikes against the Somalian terrorist group al-Shabaab over the past year, shifting its focus away from the dying Islamic State to al-Qaeda’s most feral ally with relatively little media attention.

Separation of church and state in the US not looking so bad now, is it?

If the left understand the history of the Democratic Party and the history of the progressive party (Eugenics and the view certain races were inferior) yet people like AOC and Omar insist on calling themselves progressive democrats....none of us should be shocked when they make bigoted statements

Wait... nothing Ilhan Omar has said or done rivals the actions or beliefs of Margaret Sanger or the KKK.

Relax...

Does she consider herself a progressive democrat? If so, should we be shocked by bigotry from her or just consider it the norm?

They speak at the ballot box Cletus. Huge support for the Clintons. Huge support for Dimwit candidates that eschew Israel. Doesn't make sense.

Also doesn't make sense why so many black people vote for the Dims. The Dims have historically done nothing but keep the heel of their boot firmly on the necks of black people. The dims suppress them still to this day. The so called war on poverty is nothing more than soft slavery to inner city black communities and poor, rural white communities.

It's amazing, cities that have been in decline and continual decline ran by D's, and decade after decade no improvement. Yet, nothing changes.

Cincinnati is a great example, and pretty soon if the city continues to be ran by moronic and dirty D's, they might find themselves losing P&G, who for over a 100 years has been an amazing employer and treats their people right, and does more for this city and surrounding area's than these morons understand. All they understand is raise taxes and wasteful spending, thus, why many companies have left over he last 20 years.

But hey, they spent over a billion and a half dollars for a rail car that goes nowhere and no one uses, and runs a deficit, and these fu***** geniuses proposed making it free to ride.......on top of wanting to expand it........if I was a good citizen I would get more involved, but, I'm to the point of letting people suffer for their idiocy and they are deserving of the outcomes from their voting choices.

What bigotry are you talking about? Criticizing Israel is not bigotry. You do know this, right?

Just like criticizing America doesn't make you anti-American.

The P&G I know is in West Chester and not in Cincy and therefore not subject to their taxation. However, that may only be part of their presence there.
