Ray Rice knocks fiancée out cold

Rice gets 2 game suspension for knocking the **** out of his GF.

Standard suspension is 4 games for consuming herbal medicine that helps you cope with the stress and pain of playing football.

Makes so much sense.

I really hate the NFL offices. They botch every single thing they do.

I guess we know where the NFL's priorities are. It makes it that much easier for me to stop watching NFL. That and the Falcons suck.

Anyone heard why it's only two games?

Seems silly but the NFL probably doesn't care. Practice begins soon, the season starts, and most everyone will forget about Rice.

They know it's true.

What a freaking joke. The Comish is a hard*** about every other punishment, but only 2 games for an extreme case of domestic violence? Asinine.

You know what's sad about this? Within the first few seconds of the first preseason game that's aired, everyone will collectively forget about this BS because --- oooooh that guy made an awesome catch. And that's exactly what the NFL knows what will happen. I've never been a huge NFL fan but they have a damn entertaining product that I'm guilty of watching on a weekly basis. But with every passing year, they seem to do something that makes me shake my head in disgust because of the sheer arrogance and hypocrisy. And they get away with it every single time. And there's no end to the enablers and apologists who line up to say their piece and go back to suckling on the NFL teat. Gotta protect that shield. It's completely disgusting. And you know they're not going to go back and say - you know what outraged public? You're right, we're suspending Ray Rice for the entire season. No F-ing way that's going to happen. Hell, I bet Rice appeals the suspension and gets it reduced. But hey! Somewhere, an NFL player is smoking a bowl!! Ban him from the sport!!! What a joke.

Im listening to a sports talk show on the radio and they're talking about past recent suspensions. Haynesworth got 5 games for stomping on a guy, somebody else got 4 games for missing a mandatory drug test and then Ray Rice getting 2 games for knocking out a woman. It's ridiculous.

I agree. I've tried to stand up for him when he's been attacked by players, because he's done so well to grow the game, but he's had too many snafus. I'm totally over him.

Smoke a joint, suspended for a year. Knock out your gf, 2 game suspension. Totally logical.

Rice threw that punch like a boxer who just heard the opening bell ring. NFL obviously got this one wrong. what a wacky relationship ray and Janay rice share.

Ray Rice's actions are deplorable but I don't think the NFL should sanction player for domestic violence. I can see sanctioning players for substance abuse but not domestic violence. It smells of political correctness to me.

So substance abuse is more harmful than actual abuse?

Congrats Roger, you just had a pretty awesome opening Sunday but no one wants to discuss that. Instead we're all going to focus on whether or not you are lying about seeing this video prior to handing out a chickencrap 2 game vacation. And MNF will be must see TV too. I cant wait to listen to Gruden break down Ray's shoulder angle and follow through. Well done NFL.
