Ray Rice knocks fiancée out cold

I guess he didn't do so well on that whole mentoring thing huh?

Guess not. By the way I'm currently trying to make my wife hurry up and get in here to watch the strain with me. I'm getting a bit agitated.

Biddy best hurry. I love this show, and I ain't waiting much longer.

This is why I won't get married, it's so much easier to hide a hookers body.

Commissioner Roger Goodell handed down the ban based on "new video evidence that became available today." In other words, the NFL is insisting that they never saw the elevator video until it went viral Monday morning. Rice's career was already on thin ice as it's unlikely any team would take the PR hit that comes with signing him, and now he'll have to apply for reinstatement even if a team does want him. The smart money is on Rice never playing another snap in the NFL.

Idk what'd be worse... The NFL lying about not having seen it, or the NFL lacking the pull to make sure they saw it. Either way they look bad.

I'd be willing to bet the NFL had seen the video before. TMZ said they'd prove it.

Report: NFL never asked for video of Ray Rice elevator assault | FOX Sports

The NFL never asked Revel Casino for the elevator security tape that showed Ray Rice knocking out his future wife, TMZ reported Friday, citing sources.

The casino would have given a copy of the tape to the NFL, sources said, as it gave copies to the police and Rice's lawyer. But the league didn't ask for it.

Ray Rice's wife, Janay, slams his punishment - CNN.com

So what you have now is the victim saying that it is wrong to take her husband's career away from him. She contends she is going to be victimized again by the coverage of the incident, and of course it stands to reason that financially this just destroys them, as a family.

On the flip side you have women's advocacy groups saying that in order to protect all women you have to ban Rice from playing to try to send a message to get domestic violence to stop.

Very difficult situation, sociologically.

Edit: Not ban. But still.

I'll never understand the NFL being some example of how society should be. My impression of most of these guys are not on the high side. If society looks up to these people, that's on society.

I love how some people don't watch the NBA because of "thugs" but will gladly watch the NFL which puts out murderers and women beaters every Sunday
