RB

Only so many people we can sign.
Jeremy Banks came out of nowhere last year.

We have solid depth at RB with London coming in.

Jordan and Chandler will see the field in a variety of ways.

We'll probably sign 1 or 2 this cycle. And I'm not counting Crouch or Beasly

It'll be a Flip and a sleeper. Probably both 4 stars by the time they sign.

I have zero worries with this staff in recruiting...

Best post in the thread.

Wants to play RB but with coaches and stats saying he will have longevity and more opportunities in the NFL at LB he is listening. I still think he will play RB. He WANTS RB.

As long as he is a VOL I don't care where he goes. Dude is a Monster.

We are the leader because Pruitt was the first coach to tell him he should be a linebacker. Take the L and stop trying to defend yer incredibly wrong point.

Nailed it.

With the OL we're building in the '19 and '20 class, and power running game they'll see this fall, RB's are going to line up to jump in the boat.

Yep kid just had surgery so the defensive pitch was easily received. It's true though. RBs have short shelf life in NFL now

Throw in the vertical game with guys like Ramel Keyton and Kahfre Brown and RBs will sign along with other highly touted Rbs.

Because nothing helps the run game more than a vertical threat imo

Yep, I think recruits are waiting to see what our OL & offense look like in September before they commit.

Am I missing something or are we not in on any RBs this cycle? I know Crouch is a possibility, but I'm thinking defense. Who knows, maybe he's a silent and the only RB we're taking? I think we've got serviceable guys there now, but find it odd we're not really in on anyone else. Not publicly anyway

Focus is in the trenches right now. Once we get the OL coaches want them it won’t matter who the RB is. Heck they may just pick someone out of the student section just before kickoff.

You joke. But, I think Doolittle pretty much did that with a kicker a few years ago iirc.

Has anyone mentioned Bryce Thompson in this thread? He's another one on the depth chart if he stays on O.

Our RB situation is already so good the staff made it a priority to get help from a grad transfer. Any thought that the stafff thinks we are fine at RB and may not sign any in this class is very unlikely.
They’re looking for bigger backs in this class and I’d be surprised if they sign less than two

They're not just looking at big backs.

They are looking at all around players.

Helton has coached incorporated a variety of backs in his offense before.

Agree. This is the position that I believe every college athlete should leave to the pro's junior year if possible. Their bodies can only take so much punishment. Jamaal Lewis will testify to that.

Yes him too.

There was an article on him recently about Tennessee being his first offer.

We're going to get a quality back or two.

When top running backs see Wanya, Wright, Prichertt, Lampley, and the rest of our OL commits, they will be knocking on the door.
