In an unrelated discussion, i asked Mick about "objective people" supporting his claim.
This reporter presents as objective an assessment as i can recall.
Glad you linked it Bham. I would have never seen it otherwise.

PS. Hat tip to Hog who repeatedly chided people reporting on unnamed sources. This reporter exposed those lies as well.

I have a question for the author. Why is it that everyone in Trump’s orbit lied about Russia. If there is no there, there why does everyone lie?

Why did Trump (not guilty of but not exonerated from) inject himself into obstructing justice

And why doesn’t Barr just hand the report over the report over to Congress? A process with plenty of precedent. Just hold back the GJ testimony until a Federal Judge authorizes it’s release

Can anyone offer an explanation about New Knowledge? Looks like they make up stuff about Russian social media bot influence but then try to do what they claim others are doing.

I don't follow.

Stories have been coming out for some time now hinting Mueller’s final report might leave audiences “disappointed,” as if a President not being a foreign spy could somehow be bad news.

its interesting to see how much of this was built on shaky "evidence" to start, and how self referencing the echo chamber was validation.

Even more concerning is the trend mentioned by the author where journalists trust government agencies and the people within who are known to run disinformation campaigns (CIA, NSA, etc)

It blew me away that nobody did anything with this information. I actually talked to a congressman that I know about this. He treated the information like radioactive waste. Would not touch it or go anywhere near it. But I think he and others knew about it.

The were involved in the Roy Moore/Doug Jones Senate race. Apparently they faked a bunch of Russian troll accounts then linked them to working with/following/promoting Roy Moore and somehow alerted the media that said accounts were connected to RM's campaign. It was a false flag to make it appear "muh Russia" was trying to get Moore elected.

I'm glad Moore lost but this is downright criminal.

From the article it appears they were doing similar tricks elsewhere and being used a legit "source" in some news stories.

because every alphabet agency has to review it to make recommendations on what gets redacted for national security reasons.

and your second question is real easy to answer. Trump is a megalomaniac. he CAN"T just stand by. he was being attacked, he had to respond.

the whole thing seems created to create a process crime, rather than finding a real crime. basically through enough crap at a wall and let Trump and his team perjurer themselves.

1. Not everyone did lie about Russia. For example I haven't seen anywhere that Carter Page (the lynch pin for the FISA warrant) lied. Other than that I can't tell you other than when people feel it might look bad to be connected to something (even if it isn't) lying isn't uncommon. Might as well ask why did Hillary repeatedly lie about her server and continue to do so each time she was shown to be lying?

2. He hasn't "injected himself" into obstructing justice. He took actions that are open to interpretation (firing Comey, calling it a witch hunt, asking Comey if he could cut Flynn a break). There are as many legal people that would argue those are not obstruction as would argue other wise.

3. As already noted; Barr is preparing to do so. Just because it doesn't fit the Dem's timeline doesn't mean he isn't in process.

At the time it was radioactive. Now looking back, we had a president who loyalties were elsewhere and he was not a naturalized citizen. If you look at who certified the first election, it says volumes.
