Or.... maybe UT offered and signed these kids because they had solid academics and athleticism and showed them what they wanted to see in camp. OL's and DT's are very difficult to rate since they almost never play anyone who challenges them in HS.
I'd like to see White and Moses in Orange. Both look like excellent prospects. But I don't see anything between the lines here... UT offered these other kids knowing they'd probably accept and knowing that there were limited scholarships. You don't do that if you think a guy has alot less potential than another guy you might sign.
IMO, UT signed those three guys because they have the potential to be very, very good.
Makes good sense to me. If you like what you see and evaluate the talent and decide it will fit your scheme then why take a chance on someone that may or may not be better.
