Why? He would have been just as motivated as Butch. While Butch shows it more, Strong would have been a good hire. Not saying I wish we went with him, but I don't think he's a worse hire than Butch or better. I think it's even. He's pissed at UF because he didn't get hired by them because of his interracial marriage. Plus, the guy can recruit Florida. Like I said, Butch is just as good and is doing well. I wanted a coach that was motivated and both fit that.

I really couldn't give an honest opinion on bUTch and was more in the wait and see
approach... I didn't know enough about the man...

I've waited and I've seen,and I love that bUTch has chosen UT and vice versa...
its a perfect fit and we are lucky to have the man as our coach...

The stuff posted in this thread during the coaching search is why I choose to stay away from this forum during the off-season. People generally have NO idea what the heck they are talking about... yet most of them act like damn college football expert evaluaters.

That's exactly why I don't won't him. He tried to play the race card at Florida and I don't want anybody with that kind of mentality coaching my football team

Because there is not one facet of the job I think Strong could have done better, to this point, than Butch Jones. He stayed at Louisville because he thought he could crash the championship game with his lousy schedule and he failed. Like OrangeWayOfLife said...I TOO am EXTREMELY happy Strong did not come here.
