like i keep saying and have said after the USC loss....poor coaching and we will never get anywhere with this guy unless something dramatic happens

I like this. I think the Coach O thing (seriously) might actually work though. He can be intimidating and motivating. I feel motivated just listening to him hate on others.

Its the attitude of some kids these days. Bruce recruit players that want to PLAY, WORK HARD...................... Does Purdue ring a bell? Purdue has almost all kids from IN and because they work hard look at them now!!

I am getting to the point where I just do not give a crap about UT basketball any more.

There is one way to fix the "attitude" of this team.....have them meet with Pat for 30 minutes.

I am open to conversation and conversion. The only reason not to stay and support your point of view is if you can’t.

I noticed that you didn’t hang around either. It is much easier to take potshots at people then hide.

Summit is a motivator, she makes sure all prospects coming in know what is expected. A poster earlier asked a question about Pearl needing to figure out if he wants to be their coach or their friend and I believe this is a legitimate question to ask.

IMO Pearl needs to do a better job of making it very clear his expectations from the team, he simply has not done that, he better figure it out quickly because he has some young players coming in that will likely learn bad habits from those playing now.

HS baseball coach...after each and every loss...2 miles through the graveyard, over to the football filed for suicides and stadiums steps. We never lacked for effort and rarely lost. Of course the head baseball coach was the football DC, so the attitude kind of came for free.

Perhaps the coaching staff should be doing something differently, but why isn't anyone here discussing the players' lack of responsibility in this?

Or do you all believe the coaches are solely responsible for the players' lack of effort and commitment?

You blame the players to a point.

When they don't do it, and the coaches do nothing about it, thats when you blame them.

You really think they wouldn't be hustling for loose balls if Pearl would sit their ass on the bench for a good chunk of the game afer that? Or pulling Chism if he jacks a 3 with over 15 seconds left on the clock? ..etc

If Pearl would do that, and his players still wouldn't show effort, then we could put it completely on the players.

Absolutely! Playing like excrement magnifies things like that for me. I'd be happy if CBP made them lose those ridiculous headbands. They don't sweat enough to necessitate them anyway.

Why should anyone be surprised? He is busy doing things like filander on his spouse and ex-spouse. Said it many times before.... he is great for this university in terms of where we used to be. We will never have the focus or fundamental play necessary to go to a final four with him at the helm.
