That's from the war of 1812. Surprising that so few of you know so little yet feel the need to spread your ignorance weirdly defending old racism. Take a breath.Didn't the state of Tennessee send "Volunteers: to fight in the "War between the States"
I guess UT will now be changing the Nickname. smh
They need to. I see the Washington Redskins remaining conspicuously silent...
That doesn't make any sense. A baby would be an untapped asset to a slave owner.
The tale would be more believable if it were old people.
I've worked in tribal casinos in the southwest for the better part of the last decade. One of the places I worked at was in the town of Parker, Arizona. It's a small town on the border with California. About as far as one can get from Washington D.C. in distance and culture. Anyway one night I happened to be working the Redskins were playing a Monday or Thursday night game. The casino bar was full of local tribal members wearing Washington Redskins gear and cheering on their team.
I'm always amazed that the people who are offended by these names likely have never actually met any Native Americans or been away from whatever coastal metropolitan area they reside in.
War of 1812 genius! There were “Volunteers “ during every war as well. That's from the revolutionary war. Surprising that so few of you know so little yet feel the need to spread your ignorance weirdly defending old racism. Take a breath.
