Win the SEC East in 2-3 yrs. and an SEC Championship in 4 yrs. with hopefully a NC to cap his run. The NC will be his players and his game plan.

3 years sounds fair enough. I don't want to judge him too much this year, though. 7 wins and a bowl victory to make it 8 would be a GREAT first step.

2013: Go to a bowl game and preferably win it.

2014: Go to a bowl game and definately win it. Make the top #25 poll at some point in the season.

2015: Begin season in the top #25 polls and win 9 games.

2016: Win the S.E.C. East..... Be in the play offs...

2017: National Championship, S.E.C. Championship,

2013 must have a winning season, i don't think that is to much to ask at all. so 7 wins total including a bowl win. not asking to much at all.

10+ wins every year
SECCG appearance every other year
SEC championship every 3 years
NC every 5 years

Seems about right to me

You can't expect this right away. We don't have that kind of talent on campus, at this point. Maybe after a few recruiting classes.

Just get to a bowl game next year. Beat teams we should beat. Maybe steal a game from someone. SC, UGA, etc. Defend this house!!!!

After that, I expect improvement over the next 4 years. By the 5th year, I want to see UT contend for the SEC East. Once we've established ourselves as "Relevant", I expect us to affect the SEC East title every year, in some manner. I want opposing teams to DREAD coming to Neyland Stadium, once again.

Go get em' Coach Jones!!
Go Big Orange!!:peace2:

He at least needs a big win next year, an upset. Something Dooley was never able to do, if he does it, people will be behind him.

I agree with op an add that it would definitely help his case by getting an upset win over GA or SCe. Excited to see

Realistic? 7-5, 8-4. And in a few years, sneak past one of the powers in the conference and finish 9-3. With UF, Bama, SCe, and UGA on the schedule every year, a L is more than likely until these teams change coaches.

Like Kiffin's curb stomping of Georgia and South Carolina?

Don't be like Dooley's mess up at LSU. Unfortunately, it foreshadowed his entire run in Knoxville.

I'll be thrilled if we keep Oregon under 70.

With pretty much all of our offensive production from this year getting ready to hit the door and with a defense that will take at least a year to rebuild, I'll be happy if we can get to 6-6 this year.

After that, just get us better recruits on both sides of the ball and steady improvement from year to year.

Also, please get us a kicker that isn't a head case and can actually make 85+% of his kicks and can do it from further out than 30 yards.

He is going to have to find some speed on defense before being successful.

I remember several opposing players running away from our DB"s. I don't recall a single time that one of our players actually ran someone down after they broke free and tackling them.

We need speed, speed and more speed to be successful.

Wow this proves how unrealistic our expectations still are. Say it to yourself in the mirror: this is not the 90s anymore. We had one of the worst defenses in college football. No matter what we can't expect to be winning NCs four years from now. It will take at least three years to get some buzz back in this place (see fl game this yr). We are in the doldrums its gonna take a lot longer than some here think. Trust me on this one
